Thielsch Welding School

With state-of-the-art equipment and knowledgeable instructors, Thielsch Welding School provides candidates with the opportunity to succeed in a welding career. Thielsch Welding School students receive hands-on training, one-on-one instruction, and valuable knowledge to help them get ahead in this high-demand field.

Welding Training and Technology (210 hrs)

This course will introduce the student to the four welding processes and welding terminology. Students will learn the following welding techniques:

  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) (MIG and Pulse Arc)
  • Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)

Students will also learn how to use acetylene torches for burning and cutting.

A simulated practice test will be given for each process.

The classroom portion will introduce the students to the AWS welding symbols as well as nondestructive examination techniques and basic metallurgy.

OSHA 10 Certification is Included!

The OSHA 10 program is included in the Welding Training and Technology program. This program will introduce students to the basic principles of work safety. The student will learn how to identify, reduce, eliminate, and report hazards while on the job.

On-going classes are held at our Rhode Island facility.
Private classes can also be scheduled at your facility.
